Your Maya pieces are made from natural fibers that get softer and more beautiful with each wash — if you treat them right.
Machine wash cold (30°C) on a gentle cycle, or hand wash. Use a mild, plant-based detergent. Turn inside out before washing.
Line dry in shade. Avoid direct sunlight to preserve colours — especially block-printed pieces. Never tumble dry.
Medium heat iron while slightly damp for best results. Iron on the reverse side for printed fabrics.
Fold and store in a cool, dry place. For block prints, separate with muslin cloth to prevent colour transfer.
Hand wash in lukewarm water or machine wash on delicate with a mesh laundry bag. Use gentle, pH-neutral detergent.
Lay flat on a towel to dry, or hang on a padded hanger. Linen dries quickly — remove promptly to avoid creasing.
Iron while slightly damp on medium-high heat. Or simply embrace the natural crinkle — linen is meant to look lived-in and lovely.
Hang or fold loosely. Avoid compressed storage. Linen needs to breathe.
Dry clean recommended for best results. If hand washing, use very cold water with a silk-specific detergent. Wash quickly and gently — do not soak.
Roll in a clean towel to absorb excess water. Lay flat to dry away from heat and direct light. Never wring.
Low heat only, on the reverse side. Place a pressing cloth between the iron and fabric. Or use a steamer held at a distance.
Wrap in muslin or acid-free tissue paper. Store flat. Keep away from direct light to preserve the shimmer and colour.
Our natural dyes may fade slightly over time — this is part of their beauty. Each wash creates a unique patina that's entirely yours.
For most stains, cold water + a drop of mild soap works wonders. Dab gently — never rub. For stubborn stains, a paste of baking soda works magic.
